Dunia Dialogues Mamas Who Move the World

I founded Dunia Dialogues as a cultural leadership platform centering immigrant, diaspora, and Black and brown mothers in Columbus.Through curated gatherings, I transform lived experience into visible, compensated leadership. This is not open-mic storytelling. It is structured dialogue designed to strengthen civic participation, economic mobility, and cross-cultural trust. When mothers lead, cities grow stronger.

My Mission

As a bi-racial immigrant woman, I know what it feels like to be asked to give — to speak, to serve, to volunteer — without being seen, honored, or compensated.I founded Dunia Dialogues to change that.My mission is to build a platform where immigrant, diaspora, and Black and brown mothers are recognized and paid for the leadership, insight, and cultural expertise they bring to our city. Our stories shape communities.
Our labor has economic value.
Our leadership deserves investment.

The Inaugural Gathering

On August 16, 2025, I launched Dunia Dialogues: Mamas Who Move the World at ABA Gallery in downtown Columbus.Mothers, daughters, and cultural leaders gathered for an afternoon of storytelling, dialogue, and shared vision. This was not a one-time event — it marked the beginning of a recurring platform designed to elevate immigrant, diaspora, and Black and brown mothers as civic and cultural leaders. The inaugural gathering demonstrated both the demand and the potential of this work. Why it matters:

  • Representation: Mothers of the diaspora and women of color rarely see their leadership publicly recognized. I am changing that.

  • Leadership Pathways: Each gathering creates visibility, networks, and opportunities for women to step into larger civic and cultural roles.

  • Community Trust: By convening across cultures with intention, I strengthen connection and belonging in Columbus.

This is the foundation. The platform grows from here.
